Sicily. Syracuse. Hiketas II (287-278 BC). AE 26 mm, c. 287-278 BC. Obv. Laureate head of Zeus Hellanios left. Rev. ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ. Eagle with spread wings standing left on thunderbolt. HGC 2 1448 overstruck on 1461; CNS II 158 overstruck on 137 (and for overstruck type see 160). AE. 7.33 g. 26.30 mm. Zeus/Eagle type overstruck on Artemis-Soteira/Thunderbolt. Good VF.
