Maximinus I (225-238). AE Sestertius, Rome mint. Obv. MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. SALVS AVGVSTI SC. Salus seated left, feeding serpent rising from altar. RIC IV 85; C. 92. AE. 24.75 g. 32.00 mm. Superb portrait, broad flan and lovely chocolate brown patina. Metal flaw on edge, otherwise about EF.
