Faustina II, wife of Marcus Aurelius (died 176 AD). AR Denarius, struck under Marcus Aurelius. Obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA. Draped bust right. Rev. Vesta seated left, veiled. holding palladium and sceptre. RIC III (M.Aurel.) 737. AR. 3.79 g. 18.00 mm. Sound metal and full weight. Brilliant, superb and lightly toned. Uncleaned dark deposit on reverse, otherwise good EF.
