Northern Apulia, Canusium. CA series. AE Uncia, c. 206-195 BC. D/ Helmeted head of Roma right; behind, pellet; below, CA. R/ Prow right; above, ROMA; before, CA set horizontally and below, pellet. Cr. 100/6a; NAC 61 -. AE. 5.72 g. 20.50 mm. RRRR. Of the greatest rarity, apparently the second specimen known, after BN France exemplar (REP 3752). Superb and attractive, with warm brown patina and turquoise highlights. EF.
