Greek Italy. Uncertain Umbria or Etruria. AE Cast Sextans, 3rd cent. BC. Obv. Club. Rev. [Two] pellet[s]. HN Italy 54; Vecchi ICC 199; Vecchi EC II, 5. ; Haeb. pl. 81, 40-41. AE. 19.40 g. 21.00 mm. Rare and interesting. Nice earthy green patina. Good VF. Probably cutted to provide small change, just like the cast bronze ingots were usually cutted for payments of smaller amounts in the 3rd century BC.
