Male head left, wearing bashlyk; c/m: facing head of Gorgoneion on head, helmet above and thunderbolt before. Rev. Large eight-rayed sunburst; Between rays, monogram and pellit. Cf. SNG BM Black Sea 972-5; HGC 7 310. AE. 21.32 g. 24.50 mm. R. Rare and interesting example, thrice contermarked. Reddish brown patina. Good VF/VF.
