Draped busts of Gordian, laureate and cuirassed, and Serapis, wearing calathus, facing one another. Rev. VΠ MHNOΦΙΛOV MAPKIANOΠOΛI / TΩ / Ν. Athena standing left, holding spear and resting hand upon shield; E (mark of value) to left. Varbanov I 1957. AE. 13.80 g. 28.00 mm. An attractive example, sharply struck, from skillfully engraved and well detailed dies. Lovely olive green patina. Good VF.
