Lucius Verus (161-169). AE Sestertius, Rome mint, 165 AD. Obv. L AVREL VERVS AVG ARMENIACVS. Laureate head right. Rev. TR POT V IMP II COS II SC. Mars advancing right, holding spear and trophy. RIC III 1420; C. 182. AE. 23.72 g. 34.00 mm. Magnificent portrait, sharply struck on a broad medallic flan. Lovely glossy emerald green patina. Very minor marks, otherwise EF.
