Augustus (27 BC-14 AD). AR Denarius, 15-13 BC. Lugdunum mint. Obv. AVGVSTVS DIVI F. Bare head right. Rev. IMP-X to left and right of Apollo Citharoedus, in long drapery, standing left, holding plectrum and lyre; in exergue, ACT. RIC I (2nd ed.) 171a. AR. 3.83 g. 19.00 mm. Lustrous and superb. Enchanting iridescent tone, with bluish hues. Very minor metal flaw on obverse surface, behind Augustus'neck, otherwise good EF.
